Journalists can take advantage of a free online course in science journalism offered by The World Federation of Science Journalists, together with SciDev.Net, the Science and Development Network. The lessons are online and available for you to browse at your own speed. Each lesson consists of an e-lecture with examples, self-teaching questions, and assignments. Lesson two includes personal testimonies written by experienced journalists. There are ten lessons in total, covering topics such as reporting scientific controversy and finding and judging science stories. The course is available in English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Turkish.
