Uriri Farmers Co-operative Society Limited
Date Posted: June 11th, 2012
Like our first story this week, our script of the week highlights the activities of a co-op, but this time in Kenya. The script talks about a farmers’ co-operative society whose members are soybean producers. The co-operative was started in 2005 and is still active today. The chairman describes how it was formed, its main activities and how the co-operative operates.
This script is based on interviews with members of the co-operative, and was written by Rachel Awuor from Ugunja Community Resource Centre, a Farm Radio International broadcasting partner. If you choose to produce this script on your station, please make sure to tell your audience at the beginning of the program that the voices are those of actors, not the original people involved in the interviews.
