Web 2.0 learning opportunities

The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) is currently offering two learning opportunities, one for residents of Zambia and one for residents of Mauritius.

The Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Mauritius, in collaboration with CTA and the Food and Agricultural Research Council, will host two five-day Web 2.0 Learning Opportunities in July, 2012.

In Zambia, the In Service Training Trust, in collaboration with CTA, will host a five-day Web 2.0 Learning Opportunity on July 16-20, 2012. Participants in these events will be introduced to selected web 2.0 applications, including social media, and will learn how to use them hands-on.

Participation in the Learning Opportunity is free of charge, but subject to acceptance by the organizers. Participants will be responsible for all costs related to their travel to and from the venue, their accommodation, breakfast and supper, and their daily subsistence allowances. Twenty-five participants will be accepted for each event. Applicants need to be computer-literate, competent in the use of English, and be actively engaged in agriculture and rural development or publishing, communication and media.
