Community radio promotes understanding in Congo-Brazzaville

Radio Biso na Biso, based in Pokola, 800 kilometres north of Brazzaville, is an example of how radio can bring communities together and promote peace and mutual understanding. Station staff include both Bantu people and the indigenous community, sometimes referred to as Pygmies. Its programs are aimed at improving relations between the two groups, and its success is seen in the fact that conflicts in this forested region of the Republic of the Congo are now few.
