Farm Radio Weekly Bureau Chief attends International Federation of Agricultural Journalists congress

Inoussa Maiga has recently taken up the role of FRW Bureau Chief in Burkina Faso. He is based with JADE Productions in Ouagadougou and works with francophone journalists across Africa who write some of the original stories that we publish in Farm Radio Weekly.
Mr. Maiga was invited to attend the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists congress (see http://www.ifaj.org/congress2012/program/congress.html), which was held in Sweden from August 15-19. He has been posting some of his impressions and experiences at the conference on FRI’s networking site for broadcasters, Barza.
He says, “One of the highlights and certainly one of the most exciting events of the congress … is the excursions. On this occasion, 150 participants were divided into eight groups. Each group has a specific program spread over two days − Friday and Saturday. We were group six. On the first day, we visited the Lövsta private stud (a horse breeding farm), LRF Media and a farm called Orto Novo.”
